A German plastic surgeon has revealed how he ‘built’ himself a perfect wife after performing eight surgeries
to change her chest, thighs, eyes and face.

Image-obsessed Reza Vossough told how he tied the knot with a dowdy girl after spotting her “potential” to become his ideal lover.

The 48-year-old expert pumped 600g of silicone into Cany’s body, taking her size A chest to a massive F cup, enhanced her lips, lifted her eyelids and ironed her forehead.

The 33-year-old former waitress, now a model, also went under the knife to firm up her bum, tummy and thighs along with numerous Botox injections.

"It's almost like being God - you have the ability to change nature,” the Sun quoted Reza as saying.

"When I first met Cany, she had physical deficiencies, but I could see there was something there. She had big hips and big thighs, so we made corrections, then did a little bit more.

"On the operating table her face is covered, so she's anonymous like any patient. I was interested in working on her. It's better than nature could do," Reza added.

Cany said she was thrilled with her new look that cost 18,000 pounds of cosmetic surgery.

She said: "When your husband is a plastic surgeon, then the scalpel is your friend."

Women's View on Penis Size

.

Whether you accept it or not, penis size has always be an issue for a very long time now. But it seems of recent the issue of penile size seems to be growing bigger in the minds of both women and men. Why is that? Well the mass media (films and TV) now portray so many instances where a relationship breaks up mainly because of the man's small penis. Nowadays there are various pharmaceutical companies claiming to have wonder penis enlargement products and sexual enhancers to help solve penile size problems faced by men. But one thing comes to your mind if you are thinking of increasing the size of your penis: do women really care about the size of a man's penis?

Considering the two angles on whether size matters, we have women who would not have sex with any man with a small or an average penis and women who don't believe that penile size matters when it comes to having sex. Although most sex therapist would say that penis size issue is just a male obsession because of the simple fact that a woman's most sensitive sexual nerves are concentrated around the vagina's opening. This only means that penis length is less of an issue, but a bigger penis girth is much more preferable. Even though penis length is not as important as penis girth most men still want a longer penis (and also a thicker penis also) and I can guess having a bigger penis would definitely increase your self-esteem like it does for men who have increased their penis size.

One thing all women would generally agree when it comes to penis size is that a longer and a thicker penis feels much better than a small or an average penis. But this is not to say that if you have an average penis you cannot satisfy your woman, Of course you can but it feels different as a small or an average penis still feels inadequate for most women. The feeling of fullness experienced by women when having sex with a man with a bigger penis is something most women would always cherish.

There is no point having a televised debate on whether penis size matters to women, although different tastes varies among women. One thing is certain women would always prefer a man who can make sex extremely enjoyable for them. And it seems men with bigger penis have much more sexual confidence than men with small or average penile sizes. This only means that well endowed men are more open to try different sex positions and focus their attention on giving their lovers a wonderful time in the bedroom.

Do you have a big penis? If you don't and you would love the self-esteem and benefits that comes with being a well-endowed male, then there is good news for you. Herbal penis enlargement pills and penis enlargement exercises are the best methods of penis enhancement available currently. The herbal pills stimulate penile tissues to increase their sizes while the penis exercises stretch and expand the penile tissues enabling them to increase their sizes. A combination of these two methods is sure to give you a bigger penis in the shortest possible time. Why be stuck with what nature has given you when you can get the penis size you have always dreamt of

The Hottest Sex Tips on the Planet

Sure, we American chicks know how to give and get toe-curling thrills in bed, but there are still a few frisky things we could learn from booty-lovin' babes abroad. With the help of Cosmo editors and readers around the world (there are a whopping 50 international editions of Cosmopolitan) and some of the top cross-cultural sex experts, we've rounded up the steamiest secrets on earth. Dig in to snag the confidence and hot bedroom habits of foreign bombshells.
Always rushing through the arousal stages of sex is a shagging shame. "In many cultures, seduction begins long before a couple gets to the bedroom," says Amy Sueyoshi, PhD, assistant professor of human sexuality and ethnic studies at San Francisco State University. "The mere knowledge that a sexual encounter is about to happen can be a huge turn-on." So take a cue from Korean women: "Before the sex act even begins, our readers will blindfold their boyfriends with scarves and then tantalize them by slowly dragging silk over their bodies from head to toe, lingering extra long around his pelvis area," says Kyung-Hae Yoon, editor of Cosmo in Korea. Kick this move up a notch by sliding the silk back and forth under his testicles while he's standing, and he'll be seeing stars. Extending the amount of fun you have before actual intercourse makes sex feel more like an all-night party than a flash in the pan, which is exactly why India's famous Kama Sutra has entire chapters devoted to kissing, caressing, and oral sex. Another thing to keep in mind: There's no rule that says you can't have an orgasm during foreplay. "Whether it's done manually or orally, women should encourage men to take them all the way before intercourse even begins," says Sueyoshi. Have your guy stimulate your G-spot by inserting his finger into your vagina and applying pulsing pressure to the front (belly side) wall while he rhythmically strokes your clitoris with his tongue. Doing-it divas in countries like Australia, Israel and South Africa aren't afraid to turn the tables when it comes to traditional sex roles. "Aussie women don't get hung up on what's considered 'feminine' or not — they generally have no problem initiating sex with a man they're attracted to," says Gabrielle Morrissey, PhD, an Australian sex expert and author of Urge: Hot Secrets for Great Sex. Clearly, patience is not a virtue when getting it on Down Under: According to a survey in Australian Cosmo, 38 percent of readers have gotten it on with a guy within 24 hours of meeting him. Israeli and South African women are just as likely to go after what they want. "In Israel, women join the army at the age of 18, and their fast, high-adrenaline lifestyle spills over into their sex lives," says Lea Kantor-Matarrasso, the editor of Israeli Cosmo. There's no doubt that instant gratification can sometimes be the best kind, so attack your boyfriend (or newly acquired boy toy) the very second you get the urge. Pin him against the wall with one hand (holding his hands over his head) and press your breasts and hips against him hard while unbuckling his pants with the other. Once his member jumps to attention, pull him down onto the floor on top of you. "It's a myth that whoever is on top is always in control," says Morrissey. "By thrusting your hips up and down, placing your hands on his butt, pulling him into you and kissing him hard, you can direct the action." That's not to say you shouldn't go for a ride. Try pushing him onto a chair, unzipping his pants, going down on him for a few seconds, then climbing on. He won't know what hit him, but he'll be happy as hell. For the ultimate in rough 'n' ready fun, try one of South African Cosmo readers' favorite bed games, called the Randy Wrestling Roll. Start by lying on your side facing each other, with your thigh flung over his hip, and guide his penis inside you, then entangle your arms and legs and start rolling around on the bed or carpet as you thrust into each other. The goal? See who can end up on top most often — but in this game, everybody wins.

Bonus: Intercourse after having an orgasm can be incredibly intense because your hot spots are already sensitized.

Anxious women may have smaller babies

. Thursday, October 29, 2009

Women with severe and chronic anxiety during pregnancy are more likely to have smaller babies, says a new study.

The study authors demonstrated that the mother's anxiety during pregnancy impacts birth outcomes, including smaller babies, over and beyond factors such as drug use, education and race.

Low to moderate levels of anxiety in women during either the first or second trimester did not significantly affect the birth outcomes, but women who are severely anxious during much of their pregnancy should be considered for anxiety-reducing interventions.

Shahla M. Hosseini of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre, co-authored the study with Minhnoi W. Biglan, Cynthia Larkby, Maria M. Brooks, Michael B. Gorin and Nancy L. Day.

"One way to prevent health problems in children and adults is to focus care on the prenatal period," the authors note.

"It is key to pursue further research which addresses interventions to ameliorate the effects that a woman's trait anxiety has on the development of foetuses," they said.

The study was published in Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology.

An online dating site exclusively for beautiful people is set to be launched on a global platform, despite criticism.

Beautifulpeople.com was first launched in Denmark and ever since has opened in several countries including Britain, the United States and Japan.

The site insists applicants must submit a photograph of themselves to allow existing members to decide through an online rating system whether they are attractive enough to be admitted.

“Is it shallow to want to be with someone you’re attracted to? If you are in a bar or a club and you are going to approach someone, you’ll approach someone you’re attracted to. There’s nothing shallow in that,” the Telegraph quoted Greg Hodge, 34, managing director of the site as saying.

“People are fed up wasting time and money meeting unattractive people on the net,” he added.

The website also promises successful applicants “glamorous parties, a jet-set global network” and “potential contracts from top modelling agencies”.

Exercise makes cigarettes less tempting

Exercise can make cigarettes less tempting to smokers and may help them kick the habit, says a new study .

Research from the University of Exeter shows that exercise can decrease the power of cigarettes and smoking-related images that grab the attention of smokers.

The study involved moderately heavy smokers, who had abstained from cigarettes for 15 hours before the trial. "We know that smoking-related images can be powerful triggers for smokers who are abstaining," said Kate Janse Van Rensburg, doctoral student at the University of Exeter, who led the study.

"While we are no longer faced with advertisements for cigarettes, smokers are still faced with seeing people smoking on television, in photographs or in person. We know that this makes it more difficult for them to quit," added Rensburg.

"During two visits to our laboratory participants began by being shown smoking-related and neutral images, and then spent either 15 minutes sitting or exercising on a stationary bike at a moderate intensity. Afterwards, they were again shown the images," she said.

While participants were shown the images, the research team used the latest technology to measure and record their precise eye movements.

They were able to show not only the length of time people looked at such images but also how quickly pictures of cigarettes could grab their attention, compared with non-smoking matched images.

The study showed an 11 percent difference between the time the participants spent looking at the smoking-related images after exercise, compared with the after sitting.

Also, after exercise, participants took longer to look at smoking-related images. Exercise, therefore, appears to reduce the power of the smoking-related images to grab visual attention.

Numerous studies have shown that a single session of light to moderate intensity exercise, for example five-15 minutes of brisk walking, can reduce cravings and responses to smoking cues, said an Exeter release.

Sperm may play a lead role in HIV spread

. Tuesday, October 27, 2009
0 comments

A new study has shown that HIV can be transmitted by sperm and not just semen. It is well known that during sexual intercourse, HIV-infected men transmit HIV through their semen, which carries free-floating virus as well as HIV-infected leukocytes.

However, lead researcher Ana Ceballos at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina claims that sperm can also transmit HIV to macrophages, T cells, and dendritic cells (DCs).

Ceballos et al. showed that HIV attaches to the surface of sperm and that these HIV carriers pass on the virus to DCs and other HIV targets.

Sperm express molecules known to interact with HIV's envelope, such as heparan sulfate and mannose receptors.

The authors show that HIV relies on heparan sulfate to attach to sperm, but not mannose receptors as previously predicted.

Once attached, the virus was transmitted from sperm to DCs in culture. The DC receptors CD4 and DC-SIGN were required for transmission, suggesting that DCs pick up the virus by binding to sperm rather than by ingesting them.

DCs matured after interacting with the sperm, producing tolerance-promoting cytokines like interleukin-10. The authors speculate that this immune-suppressing profile, versus an inflammatory profile, might also help the virus spread.

The authors suggest that sperm might reach DCs by passing through microabrasions in the vaginal or anal lining that often form during intercourse.

The study appears in Journal of Experimental Medicine.

Obese people likely to be at high risk for heart disease: Study

.

Obese people are likely to be at high risk for heart disease and stroke as obesity could be a factor in delaying optimal control of blood pressure and cholesterol, a new research led by an Indian-origin scientist said.

"Patients taking medications to lower their blood pressure and cholesterol levels were less likely to attain recommended targets for these cardiovascular disease risk factors than their normal weight counterparts," a study, presented at the 2009 Canadian Cardiovascular Congress, said.

Resident at the University of Toronto Dr Vineet Bhan, who led the research, examined a large number of people deemed to be at high risk for heart disease and stroke to find out if there were differences in achieving guideline-recommended targets for blood pressure and cholesterol levels according to body mass index
(BMI).

"This, to our knowledge, is the first study looking at patients with established cardiovascular disease who are on treatment to see how obesity relates to the control of these risk factors," Dr Bhan said.

The observational study was based on two outpatient registries led by senior co-author, Dr Shaun Goodman, and coordinated by the Canadian Heart Research Centre.

Senior author Dr Andrew Yan said: "Although a direct cause-and-effect relationship cannot be proven, our data would suggest that pharmacologic treatment alone without achieving optimal weight may not be adequate".

Yahoo-owned GeoCities closes down

.

Yahoo! on Monday closed GeoCities, a free Web hosting service that it purchased for over three billion dollars at the height of the dot-com boom.

"We have enjoyed hosting websites created by Yahoo! users all over the world, and we're proud of the community you've built," the California-based Internet pioneer said in a message at the GeoCities website.

"However, we have decided to focus on helping our customers explore and build relationships online in other ways."

Yahoo! said GeoCities would not be available after Monday and recommended GeoCities refugees set up new online homes at its paid Web hosting service, with an introductory offer of just five dollars for the first 12 months.

The closure of GeoCities comes a week after Yahoo! reported that aggressive cost-cutting helped it more than triple its net profit despite a 12-percent decline in revenue in its third quarter.

Yahoo! said net profit soared more than 244 percent in the quarter to 186 million dollars, or 13 cents per share, from 54 million dollars, or four cents per share, a year ago, easily surpassing analysts' forecasts.

The better-than-expected performance was due in large part to cost-cutting measures implemented by Carol Bartz since being named in January to replace Yahoo! co-founder Jerry Yang as chief executive.

Yahoo! has reduced its headcount by some 2,000 during the past year and presently has some 13,200 employees.

Yahoo! announced the planned closure of GeoCities early this year, saying it was "increasing investment in some areas while scaling back in others."

GeoCities was founded in 1994 as Beverly Hills Internet and bought by Yahoo! during the infamous dot-com boom in Silicon Valley.

GeoCities provided people with tools to build interactive websites and eventually added chat forums and other community-oriented features.

Yahoo! eventually added fee-paying premium services in an effort to make money at GeoCities, which had trouble retaining users and getting profitable.

Majority of British blokes believe that curvy women are better in bed than their size zero rivals, says a survey.

The study found that 89 per cent of men think having a plump partner in bed is a very good idea, reports a news daily.

Also 68 percent of women think that heavier men are the best for romps.

The poll by bed maker Silentnight found that chubbier partners "try harder" between the sheets and are more "giving".

In the study, researchers also found that skinny sleepers toss and turn five times more during the night than chunkier people.

Carbon nanotubes can affect lung lining

.

Carbon nanotubes which are used in everything from sports equipment to medical applications can affect the lining of the lungs, say researchers.

The long term effects, however, remain unclear.

The study was a collaboration between North Carolina State University (NCSU), The Hamner Institutes for Health Sciences, and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.

Using mice in an animal model study, researchers set out to determine what happens when multi-walled carbon nanotubes are inhaled.

Specifically, researchers wanted to determine whether the nanotubes would be able to reach the pleura, which is the tissue that lines the outside of the lungs and is affected by exposure to certain types of asbestos fibres which cause cancer.

Researchers found that inhaled nanotubes do reach the pleura and cause health effects. Short-term studies described in the paper do not allow conclusions about long-term responses such as cancer.

The "unique reaction" began within one day of inhalation of the nanotubes, when clusters of immune cells (lymphocytes and monocytes) began collecting on the surface of the pleura.

Localised fibrosis, or scarring on parts of the pleural surface that is also found with asbestos exposure, began two weeks after inhalation.

The study showed the immune response and fibrosis disappeared within three months of exposure. However, this study used only a single exposure to the nanotubes, says an NCSU release.

It remains unclear whether the pleura could recover from chronic, or repeated, exposures.

"More work needs to be done in that area and it is completely unknown at this point whether inhaled carbon nanotubes will prove to be carcinogenic in the lungs or in the pleural lining," an NCSU release said.

These findings were published in Nature Nanotechnology.

China's 1st "haunted house" spooks this Halloween

.

This Halloween, prepare to be scared in China.

The country's first Halloween haunted house attraction is spooking the crowds in Shanghai, with its creators hoping to cash in on the traditions of the ancient, but essentially Western, festival to commemorate the dead.

While China has a rich tradition of ghosts and ghouls of its own, Halloween is a non-event for most Chinese, who hold their own commemoration for the dead during the Qingming festival or Tomb-Sweeping Day usually marked in April.

But the creators of the "Shanghai Nightmare" attraction, 26-year-old American-Chinese Gan Quan and his girlfriend Xu Jiali, said it's about time Chinese got a taste of Halloween.

"I grew up in the United States and we have Halloween traditions. And over here, there's something missing," Gan, who came to Shanghai a year ago, told reporters.

"People party, they go drinking, they go to the bars, but there's still that one part of Halloween that didn't exist. And we thought, what a perfect way to combine our efforts than to put up a haunted house in Shanghai."

"Shanghai Nightmare" is set in a crumbling, century-old warehouse along Suzhou Creek and features more than 13 chambers filled with gory scenes, sound and light effects and actors dressed as ghosts and goblins that attack visitors.

Gan and Xu, who quit their jobs to dedicate themselves to the project, said they combined their engineering and art training to create the haunted house.

They declined to say how much it cost but said the attraction took a year to set up.

"Shanghai Nightmare" opened in late September and is set to spook the town until Halloween, or October 31.

But the organizers say they are considering staying open for longer due to strong demand, and perhaps set up another, bigger attraction next year.

"At least for the time being, the response from the public has been overwhelming," Xu said. "At first, we did not do very well in publicizing ourselves, so much fewer people came. But the people who came gave us good reviews and this led to all their friends knowing about this fun project."

Visitors pay between 98 yuan and 188 yuan ($14-$28) for tickets and some said it was definitely worth it.

"Previous haunted houses such as those in carnivals are not as well done as this one. The actors here very professional," said 22-year-old Huang Kai.

Why men fail to control Arousal

.

While some men are able to control their physical and mental sexual arousal, there are others who can''t do it. Now, a new study by University of British Columbia researchers has explained why it is so.

The study found that men, who can regulate their arousal to some degree, are the ones who could control their other emotions as well.

"We suspect that if an individual is good at regulating one type of emotional response, he/she is probably good at regulating other emotional responses. This has never been shown before," Live Science quoted Jason Winters, the study''s research head as saying.

The study employed 16 randomly ordered video clips-eight were erotic, and eight were funny (specifically, the funny video clips featured the least sexy comedian the researchers could find: Mitch Hedberg).

Participants were instructed to control their response to certain videos, and simply to watch the others.

They then rated their arousal following each clip, and were hooked up to machines that measured their erections.

Researchers wanted to know if men could control sexual arousal, fooling both themselves and others.

And the found that participants were, on average, able to regulate their physiological sexual arousal when told to do so- in fact, they showed a 25 percent reduction in erectile response.

"This is consistent with success rates from previous, well-controlled [measuring-device] faking studies in which success rates range from 26 to 38 percent," said Winters.

Men who were more easily excited were, unsurprisingly, less able to regulate, while guys who tended to be sexually inhibited because of performance issues were better able to stave off an erection.

Furthermore, the study found that the men who were best able to control their response to the pornographic videos were also able to control their response to Mitch Hedberg.

But for those who had difficulty regulating, reverse psychology could be to blame.

"The finding that was most surprising was that some men became more sexually aroused when they tried to regulate their sexual arousal. In other words, they responded more strongly (both physiologically and self-reported) during trials in which they attempted to regulate their arousal than trials during which they merely watched the stimuli. We attributed this increased response to anxiety - in this case, demand anxiety. It''s sort of like when you tell someone not to think of a white elephant; those [who] are most anxious during the task have the most trouble not thinking about the white elephant," said Winters.

Secret behind passionate kiss revealed

.

Ummmms’ and ‘aaahhhs’ are not the only co-partners of kissing, for a passionate lip-lock unleashes a chain of chemical changes that really turn your head, claims a new study.

As Valentine's Day approaches, Wendy Hill, professor of psychology at Lafayette College, Pennsylvania has taken the opportunity to shed light on that most basic of all human expressions of love – the smooch.

In her study, Wendy has found that a meeting of lips can spark a complex chemical surge into the brain that makes a lover feel excited, happy or relaxed.

Also, it is being speculated that the hormone release may be triggered directly by an exchange of sexually stimulating pheromones in the saliva.

“This study shows kissing is much more complex and causes hormonal changes and things we never thought occurred,” The Times quoted her, as saying.

“We tend to think more about who we are kissing and how it feels, yet there are a lot of other things happening,” she added.

To reach the conclusion, the research team looked at the impact of kissing on levels of two hormones, oxytocin and cortisol, in 15 male-female couples before and after holding hands and before and after kissing.

Oxytocin is known to be involved in social bonding so the researchers predicted that its levels would rise, while cortisol, a stress hormone, would fall. The results showed cortisol levels fell in both sexes, although oxytocin levels rose in men but fell in women.

At a time when parents are leaving no stone unturned to give best education to their children to make them achievers, an institute has come up in Gandhinagar that promises to give couples "super child" by birth.

The 'Super Child University', established by 'Vishwa Kalyan Sanstha' claims to achieve this task on the basis of ancient Indian wisdom and modern science.

"In today's world, education is given to children after they are born. But, in Super Child University, newly married couple are given training to get super child soon after their marriage," Prahlad Patel, founder of the organisation said.

Young couples are coming to the institute established by Patel in the hope to get super child by birth.

"I firmly believe that a child with extraordinary qualities can be brought to the world by a couple who wishes for it. I have made a deep study of the old Indian literature like Charaksahita, Shrushutsahita, Astang Hriday and other Ayurved books. I have also studied latest genetic science and after that established this institute," Patel said.

"We have started developing a state-of-the-art Genome Development and Research Centre (GDRC) at our institute. Research in the GDRC would be done with a goal of delivering super child to the young couples," Patel said.

Ten tips to avoid back pain

.

Tried and tested everything but back pain still giving you nightmares?

Marcus, who is the director of muscle pain research at the New York University School of Medicine said on "The Early Show," that people seek medical advice for back pain most than for anything else.

Also, the National Institutes of Health revealed that four out of five Americans would suffer from disabling back pain during their lifetime, reports CBS News.

However, Marcus offered tips to prevent back pain:

1. Your bed does matter- The physician advised tossing and turning at night and getting rid of sagging mattress if you have one.

2. What you do in bed matters- Reading or watching television while lying down is best avoided as when you lift your head to view the screen your muscles may contract causing pain in the neck.

3. Don''t just sit there- Apparently, staying in a particular position for too long stresses the postural muscles in your body. Hence, one should frequently change positions.

4. Cross your legs- The doctor advised alternately crossing a leg if you are sitting for long hours in a particular place, like while in a theatre, as it helps move back and hip muscles.

5. Around the house: Regularly used household items should be preferably kept on easily accessible shelves, as it can help avoid bending and stretching movements.

6. Watch where you put your wallet: Marcus advised men to completely stop sitting with wallet in the back pocket as it can result chronic pain.

7. Just say no- Lifting heavy weights should be avoided. Marcus added: "Ask for help, wait for help, hire help -- or walk away."

8. When you do have to lift a heavy object, bend with your knees and hips - While lifting heavy objects it should be brought close to the body, such that leg muscles bear maximum pressure.

9. Shoveling snow: A short walk to warm up before beginning to shovel may be a good idea. Also, a smaller blade can help limit each load¸ as snow is pretty heavy.

10. For women only: Women should try to lose weight after pregnancy and strengthen key postural and abdominal muscles, as it is weakened and stretched.

Apart from all the above advice, Marcus also suggested not putting computer keyboards on top of the desk in office to be handy for office employees.

He said: "To avoid neck, shoulder and back muscle strain, your arms should be positioned so that you reach down to use the keyboard, which is the reason keyboard trays can be found under desktops."

A kiwifruit a day can keep doctor at bay

.

Kiwi fruit has been labelled as the best source of vitamin C, which can have wonderful health benefits, according to an expert.

Professor Robin Fraser, of Otago University's Christchurch School of Medicine, has said that the furry fruit could be the key to living longer as it appears to be the perfect food for preventing all sorts of liver problems, as well as keeping white blood cells health.

Fraser, who has seen many unhealthy livers in his time as a pathologist, is a convert to the benefits of the fruit.

"It just seems as though it works. I'm so convinced that I eat kiwifruit every morning for my breakfast," Stuff.co.nz quoted him as saying.

Fraser compared the liver to a sieve that when working properly effectively filtered the carrier of cholesterol.

But, he said, those holes could be closed because of excess drinking, an overly fatty diet, smoking, illicit drug use and stress, which could lead to atherosclerosis- a major killer through heart failure, strokes, gangrenous feet and aortic aneurism.

But he pointed out that a daily dose of kiwifruit, along with a healthier lifestyle, appeared to be able to reopen those holes in the liver-which, in his opinion was an exciting development.

He said kiwifruit was the most efficient way of getting the recommended dose of vitamin C, the active ingredient that appeared to fix the liver.

Dr Margreet Vissers, the dean of research at Otago University in Christchurch, said that vitamin C was also needed by white blood cells to kill bacteria and ensured they did not kill off everything else in the process.

Fraser presented his findings at the annual scientific meeting of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in Christchurch yesterday.

Aerobic exercise reduces heart disease risk among elderly

.

Three months of physical activity can improve elasticity in the arteries of older adults with Type 2 diabetes, cutting down the risk of heart disease and stroke, say researchers.

Kenneth Madden, geriatric specialist at the University of British Columbia (UBC), studied adults between 65 and 83 years with controlled Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and high blood cholesterol to see how increased activity might ease their stiff arteries.

"The theory is that aerobic activity makes your arteries less stiff and makes artery walls more elastic," says Madden.

An improvement was seen in the elasticity of the arteries of the group that performed the activity compared to those who didn't exercise. "There was an impressive drop in arterial stiffness after just three months of exercise. In that time we saw a 15 to 20 percent reduction."

The subjects were divided into two groups to either receive three months of vigorous physical activity (one hour, three times per week) or to get no aerobic exercise at all.

Subjects were classified as sedentary at the beginning of the study but gradually increased their fitness levels until they were working at 70 percent of their maximum heart rate, using treadmills and cycling machines. They were supervised by a certified exercise trainer.

Beth Abramson, spokesperson for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, stresses the importance of lifestyle factors on heart health, especially with the ageing population.

"Almost everyone can benefit from active living," she says. "The foundation recommends that, like adults of any age, older adults -- with the consent of their physicians -- need 30 to 60 minutes of moderate activity most days of the week."

Abramson advises elders to choose activities they enjoy, such as walking, gardening, golfing, dancing, or joining a yoga or tai chi class. If weather is a barrier, she suggests climbing stairs at home, joining a mall-walking group, or strolling the halls of their apartment building or retirement residence.

These findings were presented at the 2009 Canadian Cardiovascular Congress.

A Saudi woman journalist has been sentenced to 60 lashes for her involvement in a TV programme in which a man spoke about his indulgence in pre-marital sex, according to a lawyer. The scribe, identified as just RA by the local media, was associated with the LBC programme Bold Red Line aired in mid-July.

She was accused of being an accomplice to one Abdul Jawad, who during the programme spoke about his indulgence pre-marital sex and provided explicit descriptions. His statements were viewed as an act of publicising and promoting sinful behaviour and violating Saudi social norms on the issues of dating and pre-marital sex.

Suleiman Al-Jumaie, the lawyer representing Jawad, the prime offender in the case, told Arab News that the the woman journalist, the seventh accused in the case, accepted the verdict issued by Judge Muhammad Amin Mirdad of the Jeddah Summary Court.

"Her acceptance deprives her of the right to appeal," Al-Jumaie said. He said that it is unprecedented in the country that a journalist is convicted by a court for doing something related to her job as a media person.

"Some people seek to bring the whole media and media persons to ordinary courts. In my view, the issue is not the crimes committed by Abdul Jawad but the prosecution of the entire media," Al-Jumaie said.

Census to quiz Britons who are they sleeping with!

.

The latest census in Britain has been branded as a sex snoopers’ charter after revelations that it would ask citizens private questions like who are they sleeping with.

Controversial new forms will ask citizens to reveal the number of bedrooms in their homes, and the name, sex, age and address of overnight visitors.

Ministers stopped short of including a question on people’s sexuality, fearing it would spark a backlash.

The 32-page Census form is aimed at creating a comprehensive image of social trends in the UK every 10 years.

And residents can be fined 1,000 pounds for supplying false information or failing to return the form.

The Parliament has yet to approve the proposals, but a draft form is due to be put before MPs in the next few days.

However, conservatives have branded the 2011 Census a sex snoopers’ charter.

“These bedroom snoopers are another sign of how the Labour Government has no respect for the privacy of law-abiding citizens,” The Daily Express quoted Shadow Cabinet minister Nick Hurd as saying.

40 years of Internet: How the world changed for ever

.

Leonard Kleinrock never imagined Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube that day 40 years ago when his team gave birth to what is now taken for granted as the Internet.

“We are constantly surprised by the applications that come along,” Kleinrock said as he and others at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) were preparing to throw the Internet a 40th birthday party.

“It’s a teenager now. It’s learned some things but it has a long way to go. It’s behaving erratically, but it’s given enormous gratification to its parents and the community.”

On October 29, 1969 Kleinrock led a team that got a computer at UCLA to “talk” to one at a research institute.

Kleinrock was driven by a certainty that computers were destined to speak to each other and that the resulting network should be as simple to use as telephones.

“I thought it would be computer to computer, not people to people,” Kleinrock said in a nod to online social networking and content sharing that are hallmarks of the Internet Age.

“I never expected that my 99-year-old mother would be on the Internet like she was until she passed away.”

A key to getting computers to exchange data was breaking digitised information into packets fired between on-demand with no wasting of time, according to Kleinrock.

He had outlined his vision in a 1962 graduate school dissertation published as a book.

“Nobody cared, in particular AT&T,” Kleinrock said. “I went to them and they said it wouldn’t work and that even if it worked they didn’t want anything to do with it.”

US telecom colossus AT&T ran lines connecting the computers for ARPANET, a project backed with money from a research arm of the US military.

Engineers began typing “LOG” to log into the distant computer, which crashed after getting the “O.”

“So, the first message was ‘Lo’ as in ‘Lo and behold’,” Kleinrock recounted. “We couldn’t have a better, more succinct first message.”

Kleinrock’s team logged in on the second try, sending digital data packets between computers on the ARPANET. Computers at two other US universities were added to the network by the end of that year.

Smoking can cause chronic lower back pain

. Saturday, October 24, 2009

Canadian researchers have linked smoking to chronic lower back pain.

In the study, boffins identified a higher rate of chronic lower back pain among people who smoke every day, reports News.com.au.

According to Professor Michael Cousins, the research suggests that smoking interferes with pain transmitters, causing osteoporosis.

The condition resulted in chronic lower back pain which could also trigger a "downward spiral" in a person's life, he warned.

"Chronic pain is now regarded as a disease in its own right," said Prof Cousins, who is director of the Pain Management Research Institute at Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital.

"Patients with it rapidly progress into a downward spiral of physical, psychological and environmental changes, resulting in major deterioration of all life activities, in their work, family and community roles,” he added.

Prof Cousins commented on the study published in the journal Clinical and Investigative Medicine, and included more than 73,000 people aged 20-59.

Why women settle for less sex

. Thursday, October 22, 2009

You said no to him yesterday; today you plan to tell him you have a headache. It's not that you don't want it, because you do. So then what's stopping you?
According to Dr Uddhav Raj, a gynaecologist, women have a tendency to have high expectations from their partners. "And if their expectations aren't met, they prefer having less sex. On the other hand, all men want is to have sex and get an orgasm as fast as possible," he says.
Our expert tells us the top five reasons why women settle for less sex.

Low body image

Women will go to any extent to keep their bodies in perfect shape and this can lead to disorders. "They want to look perfect while having sex and being overly self-conscious about one's appearance can be extremely damaging to their sex lives," adds Dr Raj.

Scared to experiment

Women are generally scared to attempt new ways of having sex. "Some of them dislike the idea of mutual masturbation, oral sex and dirty talk. So, they tend to have sex less frequently in order to avoid trying new things," adds Dr Raj.

Lack of communication

In many cases, women may not be enjoying sex with their partners, as a result of which they remain sexually unsatisfied. But out of fear of hurting their partners, they end up not disclosing this. Gradually, they even make up stories to avoid having sex.

Stressed out

Women have to handle many things like work, the household and kids. By the end of the day, they are so exhausted that nothing seems nicer than a good night's rest! Not even sex!

Feeling anxious

Women like pleasing their partners completely without compromising on anything. So when they feel they will not be able to do so, they prefer not having sex rather than disappointing their partner.

Now that you know the possible hurdles, get over them. Talk it out with your partner. It's important to overcome these obstacles and enjoy mutual comfort with your partner to enjoy a good sex life.

Microsoft launches Windows 7

.

Microsoft Corp launched Windows 7 on Thursday in its most important release for more than a decade, aiming to win back customers after the disappointing Vista and strengthen its grip on the PC market.

The world's largest software company, which powers more than 90 percent of personal computers, has received good reviews for the new operating system, which it hopes will grab back the impetus in new technology from rivals Apple Inc and Google Inc.

"It's the first really significant release of Windows in a decade," analyst Brendan Barnicle of Pacific Crest Securities told Reuters Television. "Given the missteps around Vista, people really questioned Microsoft's relevancy in the technology space. So this is a critical first step for Microsoft regaining that credibility."

The new system -- which is faster, less cluttered and has new touch-screen features -- comes almost three years after the launch of Vista, whose complexity frustrated many home users and turned off business customers.

The success of Windows -- which accounts for more than half of Microsoft's profit -- is crucial for Chief Executive Steve Ballmer to revive the company's image as the world's most important software firm.

"I have to say I'm chomping at the bit," Ballmer told an audience of Microsoft customers and partners in Toronto on Wednesday, adding that he is ready to make sales calls himself on Windows 7.

Sales won't immediately impact the bottom line of Microsoft, which is expected to post a lower quarterly profit on Friday.

Cheaper Than Vista

Microsoft is charging $199.99 for the Home Premium version of Windows 7, or $119.99 for users seeking to upgrade from older versions of the operating system -- well below comparable prices for Vista.

It also has a range of offers in conjunction with retailer Best Buy and PC makers such as Dell Inc and Acer Inc.

For the first time, shoppers will be able to buy PCs loaded with the software direct from a branded Microsoft store, with the first of a planned chain set to open on Thursday in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The U.S. holiday season will soon reveal whether consumer PC sales get a kick from Windows 7, but success with corporations -- the key to Microsoft's financial power -- won't be clear until next year, analysts say.

"Come June of next year, we are going to get the real indication of the business-to-business marketplace," said Mark Simons, chief executive of the U.S. arm of Toshiba Corp, the world's No. 5 PC maker, on Wednesday.

Early indications are that companies are getting ready to switch to Windows 7.

"People like it," said Michael Capone, chief information officer for payroll services firm ADP, pointing out its quick start-up time and good user interface.

Coffee good for chronic hepatitis C Patients

. Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Patients of chronic hepatitis C, who drink three or more cups of coffee daily, have a 53 percent lower risk of liver disease progression than non-coffee drinkers, says a new study.

The study, led by Neal Freedman of National Cancer Institute (NCI), found that patients with hepatitis C related cirrhosis who did not respond to treatment benefited from increased coffee intake. No effect on liver was observed in patients who drank black or green tea.

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infects approximately 2.2 percent of the world's population, including three million Americans. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) cites HCV as the leading cause of liver transplantation in US, accounting for 8,000 to 10,000 deaths, annually.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimated that three to four million people contract HCV each year with 70 percent becoming chronic cases that can lead to cirrhosis of the liver and liver cancer.

This study included 766 participants enrolled in the Hepatitis C Antiviral Long-Term Treatment against Cirrhosis (HALT-C) trial who had hepatitis C-related cirrhosis and failed to respond to standard treatment of the anti-viral drugs peginterferon and ribavirin, according to an NCI release.

Participants were seen every three months during the 3.8-year study period to assess clinical outcomes. Liver biopsies were also taken at 1.5 and 3.5 five years to determine the progression of liver disease.

"Results from our study suggest that patients with high coffee intake had a lower risk of disease progression," said Freedman.

These findings will appear in the November issue of Hepatology.

'Don’t watch your wife give birth';Expert

A medical expert has warned all fathers-to-be to stay away from the pregnancy ward as seeing their wives giving birth could lead them to divorce. Parenting

According to childbirth specialist Michael Odent, watching a woman give birth can lessen or end a man’s sexual attraction towards her and lead to a split, reports the Daily Express. Not just that, Odent says a man’s presence can create other problems for the woman.

He points out that a man’s company extends the labour, making it more painful and stressful for the mother. Odent believes a woman about to give birth can get distracted by her partner’s presence and might eventually need a caesarean.

Odent suggests that even male doctors should be avoided and only midwives should be present at childbirth. He says that the more focussed a woman is, easier would be the childbirth.

He will tell the Royal College of Midwives conference next month: “The ideal birth environment involved no men in general. Having been involved for more than 50 years in childbirths, the best environment is when there is nobody around the woman apart from an experienced midwife – and no doctors and no husband.”

New exotic fruit variety 'developed'

. Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Scientists have developed a variety of super healthy Chinese fruit, the Red Bayberry, that can grow in subtropical regions worldwide.

The dark red attractive fruit of the Red Bayberry (Myrica rubra) has been produced in China for centuries, long and enthusiastically sought after for perceived health benefits as well as their refreshing and delicious flavour.

Now, an international team, led by Queensland University, has developed new Red Bayberry varieties that are thriving in the subtropics.

Lead scientist Prof Daryl Joyce said the small number of mature fruiting trees currently growing in South East of Queensland started producing commercial yields of fruit just three years after transplanting.

"We were pleasantly surprised the trees grew so quickly and started fruiting after such a short juvenile period after transplanting. Many fruit trees don't start producing reasonable volumes of fruit until may be five or six years after transplanting.

"However, it appears that Red Bayberry responds well to the sub-tropical growing conditions," he said.

9 things never to say to a Woman

.

One moment they are so loving and coy that they make you feel like a giant grizzly, who should protect them from this big, bad world; and the next they are bored and spat venom at whatever you may say. But try to imagine a woman who would always do what you asked her to do, said the right things, loved you for whatever you are worth – wouldn’t it be a tad boring?

Before you say ‘no’, I would like to remind you that you fell for the woman because of her fire, her nastiness, her love and of course, the passion she always displays. But to stay on her right side, you have to know what not to say to her ever. And she will love you forever.

1. May I kiss you?
You are a man who she is out on date with. By asking such a question you are putting yourself in jeopardy. A man should never ‘ask’ for a kiss as it goes against everything a woman is looking for in a man. You may as well just tell her right there that you are a boy. Eight times of out nine, she is likely to say ‘no’ – so why even say it in the first place? If you so want to kiss her, grab her and plant a passionate one on her lips and watch her expression – she is going to love you forever!

2. May I take you out on a date?
Women like men to lead, to be in control. When you say something like this, like the above number 1, you lead her to believe you want to follow her. She is not looking for a wimp – but a man to be in control. Ask her out, but in a confident manner, something like, “Hey let’s meet up for some drinks tonight?” Be specific, not wishy-washy, tell her the venue and time. And also tell her you’d like her to be punctual. C’mon, there is no harm in coming across as no-nonsense. It might win you brownie points. At least she will open her eyes and look at you.

3. I have it all
Anything about your car, job or house that sounds like you are trying to impress her, should not be talked about. Do you know what kind of guys brag about their cars, jobs and houses to women? Well, the truth is a lot of different kinds of guys, but women put them all in one category: guys who have nothing else to offer. Ask any attractive woman about this and she’ll agree. Sure, you may attract some women, but even those women will be far more impressed by your material possessions if you don't mention them in conversation

4. What do you want to do?
There is a saying that a woman likes a ‘man with a plan’ and it is absolutely true. When you call a woman to hang out, make sure you have a game plan. Don’t put the burden on her or she won’t see you as the type of guy who can show her a good time.

5. How do you feel about me?
The fact that she is willing to go out with you, is indication enough. Don’t ask obvious questions. You not only sound under-confident but also come across as someone who needs constant reassurance. And this can be very tedious. So don’t ask, just assume she likes you, and go from there. Why shouldn’t she like you?

6. I called, but you didn’t call me back
If she doesn’t bring up the matter, don’t say anything about the call you made which she didn’t return or the message she didn’t reply to. Think it never happened and proceed forward. By asking her this there are two things 1. Showing that you care that she didn’t return it. And it’s too early for you to care buddy; 2. Giving her a guilt trip, which women see as insecurity.

7. How many men have you dated before me?
How do you care how many men she has dated before you? As long as she is nice with you and you two are having fun, it is okay. Remember to give a relationship enough time before asking personal or intimate questions. By asking such questions, you may be sealing your own fate. What if she never calls you after this date? You wouldn’t want that to happen. It is okay if she brings it up. But trust me, you don’t want to be the one to start this conversation. You can only lose.

8. Let’s go bowling tomorrow
This is date number one. You don’t know about date number two. So don’t even hint about it by saying ‘Let’s eat Thai food next time.’ Stop, stop, stop, stop! While this sounds good in theory, you must remember that women not only want but need a guy who is somewhat of a “challenge.” You may want to do some fun activities together, but don’t let her know that she has “won you over” too quickly or you’ll come off just like every other guy she’s gone out with that is ready to “put a ring on it” after date No. 1.

9. I know what we should do
While on the phone, avoid saying tomorrow or next time we’ll go there’ as you are killing any spontaneity by being predictable. Second, you are also killing any chances of her calling you, as she has to now wait for your call or risk looking desperate. Not good.

A cup of coffee may help banish wrinkles

. Monday, October 19, 2009

Want to get rid of those pesky wrinkles? Well, then forget trying lotions and grab a cup of coffee.

Nescafe, brand of instant coffee made by Swiss-based manufacturer Nestle, has started selling a version aimed at women, and it comes with the beauty-enhancing ingredient collagen.

So, instead of applying lotions to smooth out wrinkles, users can simply rely on a cup of coffee.

Sachets contain coffee, skimmed milk and 200mg of collagen – a protein found naturally in body tissue.

The precise beauty benefits of mixing collagen with coffee are unclear, byt this product is part of a much wider trend known as “nutri-cosmetics”.

This is where food and drink manufacturers promote new products by emphasising the positive effect they can have on the hair, eyes, skin or general appearance.

“Collagen is just one popular ingredient used to lend a more skin/beauty-friendly image to a product, and is increasingly found not just in beauty products but also in food and drink products – including coffee,” the Daily Express quoted David Jago, director of trends and innovation at market analysts Mintel, as saying.

The drink has so far made its debut only in Singapore.

To kiss or not to kiss keeps: Pak Tweeters wonder

.

The hullabaloo over public display of affection at a premier educational institute in Pakistan refuses to die down with the tech-savvy now taking to Twitter to debate the issue.

The public display of affection – PDA for short and the academic nomenclature for a kiss – was first objected to by a senior woman student during the holy month of Ramzan. She spotted two students kissing and raised hell by circulating a mass email on the university campus mail system.

Tajwar Awan, a senior at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), shot off the email which has since evoked a mixed response from students. While some students "reconverted" to Islam, others poked fun at Awan for bringing it up.

The university administration has promised to issue a code of conduct on the campus after Awan furnished "documentary evidence" of the kiss.

Khaver Siddiqi, known in the tweeting world as "thekarachikid", had a good laugh over the controversy. "Ha. Ha. Ha. No kissing allowed," read his tweet to his friends. Alisa Harris tweeted that she was glad she didn't live in Pakistan.

Hafsa Arain sent out a "oh boy!" message after hearing the news about the proposed ban on the campus. Another student tweeted that the controversial kiss was not a kiss but a peck. LUMS students, most of whom seem to favour public display of affection on the campus, are ferociously blogging about the issue.

Imran Baloch wrote on his blog, "As a LUMS student, I am sad to hear that the premier institute has taken away the personal rights of students."

"Socially if I look at it, on the one hand there are many of my friends who do not shake hands. On the other hand there are female friends who shake hands as well as kiss on the cheek. To me it is one's personal choice and matter of comfort. No one should have right to dictate someone what is right or wrong".

"I expect LUMS would relook this (the proposed ban on public display of affection), else student bodies should challenge the behaviour regulation," he concluded.

Awan's mail did elicit the desired response on the campus. A male student responded with a sarcastic "I have sinned" email. "I shave twice a week and my 'painchas' (trousers) hang obstinately below my heels. I have a penchant for ties that resemble the Christian cross and my satanic dress code is causing me to stray far far away from the straight path.

"During the holy month, instead of attending Koranic recitals in the mosque, I was listening to the demonic sounds of (British rock band) Pink Floyd," he wrote.

The five rules for great sex!

. Sunday, October 18, 2009

Want to spice things up in the bedroom? Well, then turn your attention to a new book that provides tips on how to turn on your partner.

Barbara and Allan Pease’s new book may come handy in making love life even sexier, reports a news daily.

According to the book, five rules for better sex and romance are:

1. Women should initiate sex- The custom of a male approaching a female may not always work out, as men are often apprehensive of being rejected.

Hence, the authors believe sometimes it’s better off that women initiate kinky things.

2. Washing up can be an aphrodisiac- Men who do household chores seem sexier to women, according to the authors.

3. Men need to dress to impress - A survey conducted by anthropologist John Townsend and Gary Levy from Syracuse University showed that expensive clothing can lure women.

The polled women said they preferred having sex with men wearing smart suits, white shirts with designer ties and expensive watches to those dressed in low status clothing, such as T-shirts and jeans, vests, baseball caps and a fast-food restaurant uniform.

4. Smart women often make bad love choices- Lot of studies have shown that smarter women make wrong choices when it comes to matters of the heart.

Author of Success Intelligence, Dr Robert Holden insists that intelligent women waste their time analysing the true meaning of their relationships, instead of being open.

5. Humour is an aphrodisiac- Good sense of humour always gives an edge to men when they hit on a woman.

Men no longer find fake breasts and blonde hair hot, instead they go for the natural look when it comes to finding a partner, an Australian study has found. Couple

The Great Australian Sex Census suggests that the men prefer 'average' looking partners to those with fake breasts and brunettes to blonde hair. In the poll, 31 per cent of male participants said fake breasts are a turn off, while 34 per cent said they couldn’t decide, reports News.com.au.

Also, 50 per cent of women claimed that breast enhancements are unattractive. About body shape- skinny is apparently out while a more fuller or an average svelte is in.

Only a mere 16.9 per cent of voting men chose slim women compared to 30.9 per cent who preferred an average build and 29 per cent who wished their partner had an athletic look.

Similarly, 35.3 per cent of women said they would like their lovers to have an average build, with 35.1 per cent preferring an athletic body.

9 mantras to reclaim your sex life

If the credit crunch managed to limp your sex life last year, then here are nine tips from an expert to help restore those lost charms in
Reclaim your sex life
Nine magic mantras to reclaim your sex life (Getty images)
the bedroom.

Dr. Ian Kerner, a New York City-based sex therapist, said that recession had taken its toll on people in general who were subsequently “having less sex”. "Fifty million people are stuck in a sex rut. The economy inhibits a person's libido because they feel stressed and depressed,” Fox News quoted Kerner as saying.

The author of Love in the Time of Colic: The New Parent's Guide to Getting It on Again has proposed nine ways to help those looking to give a boost to their passion.

Here are nine ways to reclaim your sex life:

1. Just go ahead with it: “It might sound silly, but just have more sex. Your mind has become habituated to not having sex, so it’s hard to break out of it. You have to reconnect.”

2. Connect with each other: “You can’t just turn sex on when it’s time to go to bed.You need to build that sense of connection."

3. Stay positive: “Studies show that for couples to boost their sex life, they have to be positive. It’s easy to go home and talk about mortgages and bills, but if it leads to a negative cycle of communication, figure out a positive form of communication.”

4. Prioritise your relationship: “Couples are spending more time on Facebook and blogs. The next thing you know it’s 11:30 p.m. and it’s too late for sex. There’s no urgent need to check your BlackBerry — your relationship has to be a priority.”

5. Adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle: "It's easy to binge at the end of December with the holiday eating and drinking. Get healthy and remain healthy. It will increase your sex drive and exercise will boost your self-esteem, which is crucial to enjoying sex."

6. Reveal fantasies: “In sex, you often do the same things, rely on the same moves. Share a fantasy. Or, if you feel your partner is lacking in attentiveness, instead of criticising, express it in a sexy way.”

7. Lend a helping hand: “A lot of women aren’t interested in sex because they have other things on their minds like chores, dirty dishes and men can’t always appreciate that aspect. If men help and create an environment where women want to have sex, that’s really important.”

8. Be honest: “One of the benefits of being in a relationship is that sex isn’t perfect — guys are subject to their issues, women are subject to theirs. If in ’08 you were saying something didn’t matter, (maybe) it does in ’09. Sex changes from year to year and ’09 is a new year.”

9. Create the right environment, ‘the love nest’: “Put a little more energy into your surroundings. Create a surrounding that appeals to your senses.”

10 Foreplay Tips: How to Better Satisfy a Woman in the Bedroom

. Saturday, October 17, 2009
0 comments

It seems like men can be ready to have sex, both mentally and physically, at the drop of a hat. This, however, usually isn't the case with women. Women usually require more "warming up" before they are ready for sex, both mentally and physically. If you want to better satisfy a woman
in the bedroom, then you might need to tune up your foreplay skills.

Foreplay Tip #1 How to Better Satisfy a Woman in the Bedroom: Don't immediately go for the hot spots.

Going straight for a woman's breasts, neck, or other highly erogenous zones is not a good way to kick off foreplay. Gently rubbing her arms, stomach, legs, back, and hair is a much better way to get her warmed up to the idea of having sex. Going straight for a woman's breasts just screams desperation and selfishness.

Foreplay Tip #2 How to Better Satisfy a Woman in the Bedroom: Take your time before undressing her.

Anticipation is one of your best friends when it comes to foreplay. If she is wondering every time that your hands wander to the top of her pants or the bottom of her shirt if this will be the time you will start to undress her, then she is sure to be lying on pins and needles, which will heighten her senses, making all subsequent touches that much more sensual.

Foreplay Tip #3 How to Better Satisfy a Woman in the Bedroom: Once you do undress her, remember to make it an experience.

Instead of simply taking her shirt off, pull it up over her eyes and kiss her, not being able to see where you are going next will make her super sensitive to your touch, take advantage of that. Take each layer, shirt, undershirt, bra, pants, underwear, even socks, off one at a time. Think of each layer of clothing as another opportunity to make her squirm.

Foreplay Tip #4 How to Better Satisfy a Woman in the Bedroom: Light and gentle wins out over rough and fast.

While you are kissing all over, and you should take the time to kiss all over, make sure that you are doing it in a light and gentle way. Going to fast or too hard isn't a good idea when her body is in a heightened sense of arousal, it might cause her to feel like she is being tickled, which will lead to laughing instead of moaning.
Being complimented too much starts to get annoying, talking dirty too much may make her feel dirty, mixing compliments and dirty talk will make her feel sexy. When you are kissing her neck, whisper dirty things in her ear, when you are kissing her stomach and arms, tell her how sexy you
think she is.

Foreplay Tip #6 How to Better Satisfy a Woman in the Bedroom: Don't spend too much time in one spot, keep it moving.

If you have found a great spot that the woman enjoys a lot, that is great, just break up the attention you give to that spot by moving back and forth between that spot to others. Spending too much time on one spot on her body may start to make her bored.

Foreplay Tip #7 How to Better Satisfy a Woman in the Bedroom: Take control.

If you are performing foreplay on her, then you need to take control. You don't have to be forceful, but you can tell her what positions you want her in, whether you want her eyes open or closed, whether she should watch you or not, etc.

Foreplay Tip #8 How to Better Satisfy a Woman in the Bedroom: Go downtown.

If you really want her begging to have sex, then go downtown. Be gentle, take your time, and pay attention to her body language while you are down there. Don't be afraid to get your whole body involved while you are down there, use your shoulders to hold her legs, your hands to rub her thighs, your nose, fingers, etc.

Foreplay Tip #9 How to Better Satisfy a Woman in the Bedroom: Make sure that she is well lubricated before you finish up your foreplay and move on to sex.

Trying to have sex without proper lubrication can be quite painful for a woman, especially if you are a rather well-endowed man. Don't stop with the foreplay until she is physically ready to have sex. If she is telling you she wants to have sex now but she isn't lubricated enough then bring in the KY or some other store bought lubricant.

Foreplay Tip #10 How to Better Satisfy a Woman in the Bedroom: If she starts to lose the mood while you are in the middle of sex, return to foreplay for a minute or two to get her back in the mood.
Just because you have started having sex doesn't mean that you can't return to foreplay when she starts to lose the mood. If she begins to lose lubrication or seems like she is getting frustrated, then return to foreplay for a minute so that she can relax again.

9 Sex Tips From Construction Workers

.

I'm working from home today, and while I miss my special Frisky lady friends, I have to admit, I miss something else about going into the office more: strutting past the construction workers.

Our office building is currently getting not one, but two new store fronts. So, everyday, I've got to walk past roughly a dozen sweaty studs handling their equipment. Am I the luckiest girl in the world or what?! Plus, despite how often they see me, they always manage to find new ways to describe my bang-ability on the daily. And I love them for it. (Although, I have yet to nail a handyman. Sigh.) But I have picked up a few sexy tips just from having all those dirty men around. I'm going to tell you what I know, but please help me pray that the Mexican restaurant and coffee shop stay under construction for a while longer...

1. Fashion And Beauty Products Are BS.
I can be wearing no makeup, walking with a limp, have spilled something down the front of my muumuu, or even be scratching myself rabidly, and those dudes will still find a way to tell me I look hot. I don't have to bring it, because it's already been brought—au naturale.

2. We All Like The Bandonkadonk.
Butt crack out of the top of jeans is friggin' sexy. Who would have thought men could tempt us with their own booty cleavage?

3. Men Love A Tease.
You don't have to acknowledge their catcalls or even look at them. In fact, it's probably better if you don't. They will keep the cooing coming and say even more ridiculous things if they know you're not going to respond. Don't we all fantasize about the things we'll never have? 4. Don't Be Shy.
Even though you know you're not going to score, even if you're saying something dumb and are covered in dirt, be loud and proud. Now that's sexy! The Frisky: 10 Things Women Forget To Do During Sex

6. Men Are Hard At Work.
Just like we get all gussied up to impress other chicks, what the construction workers are heckling is more to impress their bros than you. They talk like sex-crazed woman eaters because they want to seem manly. As if that jack hammer wasn't doing the trick...

7. Take Your Time.
Especially when it comes to sex and construction, it's the finished product that counts—key word is finished. Sometimes you can get 'er done lickety-split, other times you need some extra workin' on. Just like a building, you're not done until you're done.

8. Flirting Isn't Cheating.
Have you ever tried to call a construction worker out on something he said to you? He will get all lost like a little lamb. He's just trash-talking. (See #2) They've got wives and girlfriends—they're just passing the day away by watching you pass them by.

9. Everything Can Be Fixed.
Even if it can't get put back together, you can get things back in working order. You just have to be willing to take care of it.

Men knew it all along. And now a new study has made it official: women shed tears more often than blokes, for longer, and in a more dramatic way. Woman crying

In the study, the German Society of Ophthalmology found that women cry on average between 30 and 64 times a year whereas men cry just six to 17 times during the same period, reports The Telegraph.

From analyses, boffins found that men tend to cry for between two and four minutes, but for women, sessions last around six minutes. And in 65 per cent of cases the crying episode turns into a full-blown sobbing session, compared to just six per cent for males. However, up until 13, there is no difference when it comes to waterworks "showing that blubbing because of joy, sadness or anger is something that is learned," the boffins claimed.

As for the reasons for bawling, the paper found that females cry when they feel inadequate, when they are confronted by situations that are difficult to resolve or when they remember past events.

In case of men, they tend to cry from empathy or when a relationship fails.
